Event recap: Beyblade X Outside Fan Expo

Image
Hello community,     I am back again with a new event recap. This was a much much much smaller event held in Toronto outside FanExpo. I was fully healed for this event and was excited to participate. While there were few people who attended the event, this event featured very high level beybladers. One noticeable absence from this event was my good friend Ali12345456. Ali12345456 had won the previous event and I was very excited to face him. However, his absence was covered by high level GTA beybladers suchs as: Hato: A training partner for both Ali12345456 and 1234beyblade, his past record does not do him justice. In the past event, he narrowly missed 3rd place and placed 4th. However, he went undefeated in the Prelims and has been strong consistently.  Zankye: A famed youtuber, he has always consistently placed top 3 in all events I have been a part of. I regard him highly because of ingenuity as he is consistently inventing new combos. He is one of the few beyblades...

Event recap: Two's company, Three's a deck (WBO)

Image
Hello community,      I am back with some recap of Two's company, Three's a deck (WBO) event. I have been a bit late just because I wanted to understand all the combos and why they were used and also because I was dealing with a wrist injury. My wrist injury also impacted my performance at the event in which I came 9th, narrowly missing the super 8. However, that's ok because its all part of the game.       The event was extremely fun with a lot of players of all ages coming out. We also had a few players from United States that showed up! They know who they are and if they are reading it, you guys were awesome! This was one of the first big events for Beyblade X hosted by WBO Dan in Toronto.       This event was also very significant because this was the first event where a lot of players had the time to formulate their combos and find out what the current meta would be.  Picture 1 (from left to right): 3rd place origina...

Is Needle a better bit than Ball in Beyblade X?

Image
A helpful guide before we begin: Blade: Made out of metal and plastic in the new series. The shape could be aggressive for attack (as shown in the image above) or round for defense. The Blade is the primary contact point for a beyblade during the battle. Ratchet: A plastic piece that is attached to the blade. The ratchet determines the height of the beyblade. The ratchet is labelled with numbers such as 3-60 in the image above, where 3 is the number of sides and 60 represents the height. The higher the height of the ratchet, the taller the beyblade. Bit: Generally serves as the foundation of the beyblade. The shape of the bit determines the behaviour and movement of the beyblade. Terms: KO: Knock out; when a beyblade is knocked out of the stadium, it is considered a KO. Generally in this case, the beyblade is knocked into the KO Zone (see image above) Xtreme: When a beyblade is knocked out in the Extreme Zone (see image above). Dash rail: a special layer added to the stadium whic...

Introduction

A little about me: My name is Skynet and I am a member for WBO from Canada. I work as a Risk Analyst but enjoy Beyblade as a hobby. When I am not playing Beyblade, I am either at the gym, playing some computer games or planning for road trips.  I made this blog for my Beyblade hobby. Originally, I was just going to post some fun content however with the visual media (Youtube) being much more popular for entertainment, I decided to create this blog to do some competitive analysis.  This will also be a place for some healthy feedback and constructive criticism because I feel this isn't just my blog, but a blog for all Beyblade enthusiasts.  Stay tuned for some competitive Beyblade analysis...
